London, UK – M Group Services, the PAI Partners-backed leading essential service provider to the regulated infrastructure markets in the UK and Ireland, has announced the acquisitions of Industrial Water Jetting Systems (“IWJS”), Avonline Networks and Tomato Plant Company (“TPC”).

The add-ons bring the number of acquisitions made by M Group Services (“MGS” or “the Group”) to eight in just over two years and continue the Group’s strategy of expanding its complementary capabilities in the UK infrastructure services market.

PAI Partners (“PAI”) acquired MGS in July 2018. MGS is a £1bn turnover business that delivers a range of essential infrastructure services to the regulated sectors of utilities (electricity, gas and water), transport (airports, rail and highways), telecom and data in the UK & Ireland. The Group’s businesses include Morrison Utility Services, PMP Utilities, Dyer & Butler, Magdalene, Morrison Data Services, Morrison Telecom Services and M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions.

IWJS and TPC are leading providers of wastewater network services to the utility, transport, industrial and environmental sectors. Avonline Networks is a specialist provider of telecom network build and installation services on behalf of network providers, alternative network operators and local authorities.

Following the transactions, IWJS and Avonline Networks will retain their brand identities and continue to operate as standalone businesses within MGS, with IWJS forming part of the Group’s utilities division and Avonline Networks extending its telecom division. TPC will be rebranded as IWJS Specialist Services, providing IWJS with complementary lining, sewer cleaning and maintenance capability and specialist expertise on working in airside environments.
